The Night Painters
The Night Painters are an award-winning indie rock band based in Madison, Wisconsin. Known for their powerful hooks and thought-provoking lyrics, bandmates Al Knox (guitar, vocals), Harry Hochwarter (bass, synth), and Luke Stanton (drums, vocals) have been performing in Madison and surrounding areas since 2023. In 2026, the band is releasing their latest project, Good Thinking, which is the culmination of the band developing their sound through performances across the Midwest over the last three years. With this album, the band examines the seemingly futile effort in developing a holistic identity in an ideologically complex time, or, “thinking good”.
